Ability to use web on Android
Chris Barrell (Baz)
I would kill to be able to just have some minimum functionality. Just be able to have the side bar, or even just a toolbar down the bottom to have easy access to todo, [[, etc

Lack of this is keeping me from using the app; just went back to Mem

Doug Nelson: Installing on Android as a PWA is possible. I've done it with Chrome and Vivaldi :-)

Evan Mr: Thanks for the follow-up Evan. I'm able to log in via Chrome on Android and save Reflect to the home screen (I think as a PWA). But when I launch it I only get a list of daily notes, with no menu or controls.
When I inquired about this to support, the response was "We don't support Android" -- including via web.

Doug Nelson: Ah, I ran into that issue too!
I got the menus by setting the site to Desktop Mode - which worked in Chrome, but not in Vivaldi for some reason.
Since I'm using a Galaxy Fold 3, I have screen space for the menus when unfolded, but it's definitely not practical on a regular phone screen...
Do you still use Mem? I guess their web app is usable on Android?

Evan Mr: Thanks for the tip - "Desktop site" did bring the menus up, but as you say in portrait mode on a regular phone everything's too small to read.
I am using Mem, and finding it increasingly useful. Using the chat interface to find things in my notes is amazing. It's not perfect, of course. But the web app does work well on Android.

Evan Mr
Doug Nelson: Thanks for the helpful screenshots! With these—the vault-wide chat and email sync—I'm giving Mem another shot ;-)
