We've shipped a version of this. Not exactly custom keyboard shortcuts, but we've now made it much easier to press our keyboard shortcuts on international keyboards.

Peter Solnica Correct. I believe this solution is better because it addresses the main issue of hard to reach shortcuts on foreign keyboards.

if using https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neo_(keyboard_layout) or DVORAK it's necessary to customize the shortcuts

Problem:
When using a German keyboard layout with the software, certain shortcuts do not function as intended. For example, attempting to highlight a word and press [
 to create a blank link results in the word being replaced with the [
 character. Additionally, navigation shortcuts for moving back and forward are not working properly.
Impact:
This issue slows down the workflow for users with non-English keyboard layouts, making the software less efficient and more cumbersome to use.

Any update on this ? It has been planned for 2 years. I am still unable to use any keyboard shortcuts that include symbols like [ or ] because they are accessed via the Shift layer on the Canadian French Layout that I use. I can't collapse lists since this is not in App Shortcuts.

Are there any updates on this? Would be great to move back/forward but using a foreign keyboard as well

Adding the formatting options and commands to the app menu would unlock a lot of customization routes (for Mac users, at least). https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/create-keyboard-shortcuts-for-apps-mchlp2271/mac

Navigating back/forward is currently impossible on a Norwegian desktop keyboard layout. One way to solve this is by making keyboard shortcuts possible to manually override.
