I didn't realize this was possible until reading Will's comment made me dig deeper. It's not intuitive, but if you run one of the built-in "system" prompts and then click the top right dropdown, you get the options to edit and clone and save the prompt as your own custom prompt. So, this is possible but not easily discoverable IMO.
