BACKLINKS from readwise tags
The reflect team considers to adjust the readwise integration such that "readwise tags" become "reflect backlinks". This is a great idea.
To make this happen upvote the coresponding feature request.

Any plans to be able to customize the template/formatting for the Readwise imports?
Alex MacCaw
Zoe Downes: sorry, no plans

Now that Reflect is syncing with Readwise, how can I disconnect the data synchronization with Kindle? Is it done automatically?
I see that Readwise notes have additional metadata to Kindle imports, such as favorite highlights. It would be good to have a procedure to suspend the Kindle update, delete Kindle imports (all or partial), and import all the content from Readwise.

Bruno Llerena: Reinstall the chrome extension, and don't link amazon

I was using Readwise too, but since Reflect does sync Kindle highlights (my only use case), I cancelled Readwise. What am I missing here? Why is an integration needed at all? Please use your resources for an iPad app instead 😉
Richard Henrikson
Atmos Black: I use Readwise for much more than Kindle - and especially now that their Reader product has become my primary place to read content (blogs, newsletters, tweets, etc.). They even have a solid YouTube viewer so you can watch videos and highlight notes from the transcripts. So I agree that the Kindle highlight sync is awesome, but also just a small part of all of the highlights available via Readwise / Reader.
(Also - I agree that an iPad app would be awesome. Though I personally would prioritize tag metadata before that - https://roadmap.reflect.app/feature-requests/p/customizable-fields-for-notes-supertags).
Atmos Black
Richard Henrikson: I really tried to like their reader app, but since I'm using Upnext which is way better especially on iPad, it felt like a downgrade. Thanks for your perspective!
Richard Henrikson
Atmos Black: Thanks for the heads-up, will give UpNext a look! Though presumably you could funnel things from UpNext to Reflect via Readwise also (assuming UpNext has a Readwise integration?)
And out of curiosity - what would you say are the major benefits of Upnext over Reader?
Atmos Black
Richard Henrikson: Yeah, it has. The issue that I have is that all tools I love to use have a Notion integration, which is free and you're basically forced to use Notion or pay for other services to do the same.

Alex MacCaw: Need any more beta testers? :-)

Will this Readwise integration include their new Reader app? https://read.readwise.io? I am using it for a good half year now and frankly, I think Reflect plus Reader would be a match made in heaven!
Jonathan
Sandro Meyer: +1 on this
Richard Henrikson
Sandro Meyer: +1 on this as well!

Alex MacCaw: Is there a rough ETA to ship the integration?

Update on this one: We are going to tackle it soon, but currently our priorities are finishing up the tasks integration, and then multi-col support. Readwise will come after that
