I love this idea. Just wanted to say that there is somewhat of a workaround where you can search by "Created at" and "Updated at"...although you have to search instead of it being presented to you.

Also, it seems every Daily Note that you scroll past will end up being "updated", so the "updated" list can get kind of long (might be nice to have way to filter out Daily Notes).

Big want! I find myself caught between daily note and creating new notes because the backlinks are wierd - could be cool to have a bunch nested notes and an option to 'move to new note' from daily notes too. Not sure how practical just an idea

Maybe something running on the sidebar would work as a recently edited added list or even a standing note which dynamically just showed this.
