Repeating tasks

I'd like to be able to create recurring tasks in Reflect, for periodic tasks or chores. There seem to be two common patterns of recurrence:
- A fixed schedule, e.g. "take the trash to the street every Monday evening"
- By a period of time since it was previously repeated, e.g. "replace the air filters every 6 months"
In Things, recurrence patterns are set through a series of dropdowns, which are a little clunky, but effective (see screenshots). Todoist takes a different approach, having you specify it with natural language in the task's description itself. This would seem a better fit for Reflect.
This entire feature would likely be dependent on due dates.

I'm a big Todoist user. Having one platform that works around me while I'm in 8 meetings a day would be great. Shifting from my second brain with my notes to my task manager in another window takes me out of my productivity flow. Hope this feature gets put into the production pipeline. I rely on it every single day to do repetitive tasks. Thank you!

When take first came out in Reflect, I thought like Harold, but as I’ve gotten used to quickly creating tasks as I take notes, right there in the text, I’ve come to dream of more task functionality in Reflect.
The convenience of creating tasks right from my notes has surprised me and the problem with not having a sophisticated system is that now I need two systems. Some tasks in Reflect, other somewhere else.
Whether that functionality is native to Reflect or it is achieved through some kind of integration with a Tasks app, I don’t know, but it would be great to type “+ Take the trash every Monday “ in Reflect that and have it automatically turn into a repeating task.
In summary, I’d love repeating tasks in Reflect too.

I have solved this for myself using the Reflect API and a vercel cron job :p for free

Sorry to be a detractor on this but respectfully, my personal opinion is that for that level of functionality it’s best to use a good todo app like things and just make sure that there is the ability to have inter app links so that a things task can jump to a reflect note and visa versa
I see note taking/ thinking as a separate territory to task management .. I think it’s great to have simple tasks/checklists in Reflect to aid recall and pondering but that’s where it should imo end
In fact thinking about this Things3 and Reflect are in many ways perfect partners … both clean simple performant and excellent at what they do … I would much rather see first class ‘buddies’ than some form of hybridised diluted ‘monster’
As mentioned above I don’t in anyway mean this is a disrespectful way … everyone’s perspective is valid .. just a personal view from someone who jumped ship from the mess that OmniFocus became to things3 and never looked back … the simplicity, focus and beautiful UI ensnared me as I actually enjoy the near frictionless use of the app each day… in much the same way that Reflect is strongly heading …. :)

Seems like it would not be a far stretch to go from "[[3 months from now" to ''[[every 3 months starting today" or something along those lines.

This is a huge reason for me why note taking apps don't replace task-specific apps like Things or TickTick or Todoist. Not even notion does repeating tasks in an elegant way, so adding the described functionality to Reflect would bring it one step closer to being that great all-in-one!

Right now my workaround for this is to actually add some things to my calendar as recurring events (so they show up under Meetings in the daily note view), but not ideal.
